Merkavim has taken on the challenge to preserve the
environment, and makes great effort to prevent the pollution of water, land and
air in its vicinity. The company's manufacturing plant is located above the sea
aquifer – Israel's main sub-surface water source, which reinforces the
company's commitment to this subject. The plant adheres to the ISO 14001 standard
for environmental protection and is currently in the process of acquiring an
ISO 18001 standard for work safety.
